The Post Turtle

While suturing a laceration on the hand of a 70-year-old Texas rancher, whose hand had caught in a gate while working cattle, a doctor and the old man were talking about George W. Bush being in the White House.

The old Texan said, "Well, ya know, Bush is a 'post turtle'." Not knowing what the old man meant, the doctor asked him what a post turtle was. The old man said, "When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a post turtle."

The old man saw a puzzled look on the doctor's face, so he continued to explain, "You know he didn't get there by himself, he sure as heck doesn't belong there, he can't do anything while he's up there, and, if you have any compassion whatsoever, you just want to help the poor dumb bastard get down."

What do you think about the 9/11 testimony?

Should they be focusing so much on who was to blame? or look to the facts?

Will any of the physical facts come out such as the witnesses that saw and heard bombs going off up and down the buildings as they fell?

When we are talking about intelligence reports and who knew what and when why is it that 2 of the listed hi-jackers were dead before 9/11 and 9 others claim to be still alive?

Let's study what we know and compare it to the official story which to me is more important than the blame game. This way we just might find out who really hi-jacked America on 9/11.

What do you think about the Clarke testimony? Will it have any effect on Bush's impeachment or will it sway a few votes that are miscounted by Diebold anyway?

What is occurring is nothing more than a selling of the PATRIOT ACT -- stronger intelligence is what they are all saying -- sharing of information between agencies both domestic and abroad.

The Counter Terrorism treaty is doing just that. Imagine a traffic cop in Lithuania will have access to all your personal information all in the name of fighting terrorism. What is fighting terrorism when the hi-jackers claim to be alive? What fantasy world are we allowing to be created here?

A dangerous one indeed.....
