At this time in the evolution of our society~ the development of our social skills falls far behind the responsibilities required to properly use our advanced technologies. Waging war to settle differences places the US and the world in a dangerous situation.
The best alternative to war is to depose of those that create war and their lame excuses to have a war. To say that there has always been wars and there will always be wars does not except the fact that there have not always been nuclear warheads, gas-exploding bombs, nerve gas and smart bombs- a truly smart bomb doesn’t explode because it knows that the smart thing to have is peace.
The power brokers of the world create history in the shadows and spoon feed it to the masses through sophisticated choreographed propaganda machines. The root causes for war are beyond the view of the commoners. We as commoners are not privy to all of the information needed to make a proper opinion. We can only hope that the truth behind the causes and the real reasons for war will be made known.
When the people cannot get the truth form their leaders it is impossible to make an educated decision about going to war. Therefore it is easy to make the stand for no more war because it is something within the grasp of the people. We can wage peace. Somehow I feel that the Iraq war will not be the end of wars. I hope the next one will not be the big one that the prophecies speak of.
