Dear Friends,
The mainstream media dropped Haiti like the plague but the battle between the people of Haiti and the factory and land owner class continues.
Today the people marched on the U.S. Embassy to denounce the "occupation" of their homeland and demand Aristide's return.
A crowd estimated at more than 10,000 materialized suddenly, seething at Aristide's flight to Africa five days ago, hurling slurs at U.S. Marines and calling President Bush a "terrorist."
Aristide Supporters Denounce Haiti Occupation
Reuters | "Bush terrorist! Bush terrorist!," they chanted, waving Haitian flags.
"The bourgeoisie joined with the international community to occupy Haiti and get rid of President Aristide," a demonstrator screamed. "The bourgeoisie never did anything for us, the masses. Now they took away our president."
…a seven-member "Council of Wise Men" was named to start building a new government. At least four of the seven are aligned with Aristide's political opposition.
"There is no need for a Haitian army," Hill said. "What we need to do today is to reestablish a professional, working and effective police force”, said U.S. Gen. James Hill, commander of the U.S. Southern Command.
There is no need for a Haitian army we have our own – bring in the SWAT teams these people have no guns.

So the US Army is face to face with another liberation. That bad boy Aristide was hoarding all the money, that is why there is poverty in Haiti. The man is a priest, for crying out loud. The lie has to be big enough to believe I understand this, but this is beyond laughable it is outrageously mad and must be stopped.
Bush has given us a flash point to rally around stopping this madness --- SUPPORT the people of Haiti and support the people of the world as we turn back the scourge of Free trade and universal sweat shops.
When there are people in dire poverty; where the food source has been disrupted, when culture has been outlawed, we have the ripeness of slavery.
WalMart made $2.8 billion off Haitian labor in 1995, paying its workers $5.68 a day while the cost of one meal for a family of four costs $5.28. Those were the lucky ones – others made $1.60 a day and less. Aristide had the guts to stand up and fight for a minimum wage of $1.58 / day. He lost that battle but continued the fight for the workers in his country. Last week he was dismissed at the point of a gun. Aristide won the last election with 92% of the vote and the wealthy landowners called fraud. Thus we see where the official story gets its lead from – the wealthy and powerless whiners.
But the people are not done, the people will have the last word. Lets SUPPORT the people of Haiti ---- and fight for peace and justice in our world.

The people march on the President Palace in support of Aristide. Aristide own the last election with 92% of the vote.

Haitian policeman points his rifle towards sympathizers of former Haitian president Jean Bertrand Aristide as they run away from the presidential palace.

Five fingers means five more years for Aristide to finish his term in office. People march through the streets demanding the return of the exiled president.
