After three years of Bush and French sanctions the country is in dire poverty, ripe for a revolution. Then a few hundred CIA sponsored rebels come from the mountains of the Dominican Republic and begin ransacking a peaceful country - pillaging villages and killing the local police
a flaming car in Port-au-Prince as chaos broadens
The people want Aristide to stay 5 more years
long live Aristide - Aristide won the election by 92% - the 8% moneyed class claimed fraud and used it as an excuse to place sanctions on Haiti (sore losers)
anti-government demonstrations claim genocide - propaganda for the US mainstream press?
US Marines arrive
and take over the presidential Palace
Aristide is taken out, (Aristide claims he was kidnapped) the coup is complete - in his place are new leaders - Guy Phillippe, a convicted murderer from the past is one of them
the people of the world are claiming Aristide was kidnapped
the pro Aristide majority take to the streets
the new Haitian police fire upon the people
people lose their lives
the US Marines patrol the streets -- to keep the peace or to control the people?

more people die, some in random drive by shootings

the sun sets on another victory for the empire I mean the consumer --- Haiti is only a few months and a few hundred deaths away from being secure enough for the WalMart and Disney sweat shops to return - Disney profited $1.2 billion from Haitian cheap labor in 1996 alone. In the garment industry, in Haiti, the average wage was .05 cents an hour in 1996, compared to $1.08 in Mexico or $1.80 in Jamaica. Cheap labor is the reason why Haiti is so valuable. Note: it costs over $5 to feed one meal to a family of four, you do the math.
