The Load of Laundry
By Michael Tivana
What is the meaning of these times?
We, as a human conscience, are in a battle that is much, much deeper than Bush making a mockery of our lives and pushing a twisted Christian theocracy down our throats, a battle that is as much spiritual as it is physical, individual as it is the collective conscience. Yes the battles in teh war are much broader than Bush, but it all starts with Bush. Because of Bush, we all have an opportunity to clean up our act. Some of us may only need a mild detergent while others require bleach to come clean.
Bush's policies are the laundry detergent while he is the agitator in the machine that is getting the dirt out of the clothes. We as a country and a world are even cleaning the clothes in our closets - all of it, all our thoughts, everything is going through the ringer and hopefully coming out clean.
And God looked at the darkness and said, "let there be light", and he separated the light from the dark and did a load of laundry.
Are you ready for the rinse cycle?
