The Curse of Saddam Hussein

Saddam Hussein

     It is difficult to answer the charade that is being played out by this administration around the whole Iraq story, but not impossible......

     I woke up Monday morning with a sunken feeling in my gut, like I had been struck in the belly by a phantom sucker punch.

"We Got Him"
read the headlines, we got Saddam Hussein. "What a great Christmas present", chimed in the talk show hosts, terrific news said the anchormen and the celebration was on. But instead of feeling overjoyed I felt like I needed a faith revival. So I watched a new movie on 9/11 and reconstituted my faith in knowing the truth. I needed more evidence, more confirmation that I/my country had been lied too and that the 9/11 cover-up still needed to be exposed.

If I have been lied to since the y2k election and the presidency was stolen from my country, lied too about the Cheney/Enron energy debacle and the 9/11 non-investigation, lied to about the reasons for attacking Iraq, and if I am being made to believe that the Healthy Forests Act is actually making the forests healthy because it encourages the slaying of Old Growth fireproof trees, and that the new Medicare Bill will finally bring the cost of drugs inline with what human beings can afford, if I am being told all these lies then why would I beleive that the man they captured is really Saddam Hussein? After all the man did have a deep relationship with members of the Bush administartion esepcially Dick Cheney.

Cheney was responsible for connecting his company Halliburton to many Pentagon contracts. Then in the 90's under Cheney's direction Halliburton serviced billions in contracts with Saddam to fix and maintain the oil pumping business in Iraq. Halliburton continues to garner huge profits off the Iraq oil industry post Saddam.

Aside from the above board relationships with both Bush administrations there are the stories that we were led to believe about the immense wealth, the twelve doubles, and even the February report that told of Saddam having Alzheimers. Facts or fiction? Either Saddam remembers who he is or not. If I was a billionaire, had twelve doubles, and numerous friends around the world including Dick Cheney, I think I would come up with a better exit strategy than a beard and a spider-hole.

When captured, Saddam had millions of US dollars in cash with him when he was trading in Euros, he was captured in December and the plants in the picture say it was August when the date palms bloom, all we saw of the capture was the spider hole and a doctor checking out his teeth to make sure it was him. BALONY!

He was hiding in a hole with millions in cash, is that the best get away plan this master mind, this threat upon all humanity, this ferocious tyrant that was to bring down western civilization, is this the best he could do to escape? Is this the best story the Bush regime could come up with?

So is that Saddam or one of his twelve look-alikes, is Saddam in prison in Iraq or did he slip out of the country in his limo on a US Cargo plane? Does it really matter outside of the right wing?

I would like to ferret out and prove or disprove the lies that are in front of me before I go on to the next hobgoblin news story. Saddam’s reunion with the world is overshadowing the important stories and it should be the other way around. The important story is that millions of Americans are feeling cheated and lied to. Cheated by the phony y2k selection and lied to about an un-investigated 9/11 tragedy.

Both events have led us to war and yet are not being touted as front page news. These stories need to stay on the front page until resolved, then we as a nation can "Move On". Until then its "Do NOT Move On" until the truth is discovered and appropriate actions are taken.
