The Fallout over the Fallout

Did the first Atom-bomb blast change our human DNA?

A friend sent me this story about the fallout from the a-bomb tests in the 50's being worse than previously thought. The story was on the front page of MSN news and attributed more deaths to the fallout than before and also offered up info on international radioactive fallout.

But I say it is a mutate or perish game we play now as we are dosed with the fallout of false rhetoric about radioactivity and we are living with a potent mutating factor in our environment that doesn't go away - ever. The survivors are of a new breed, the radioactive breed.

The atom bomb -- very important stuff there. In my still to be finished book called "Brother Peace, Sister Love" I begin the book with the first atom bomb blast. The book is about the baby-boomer generation and yes we are different, we are Radioactive. There is a school of thought that theorizes that smashing the atom meant the changing of our DNA code and everyone born after the moment of the first explosion comes from a different mold. True or not I think that there is a different mold of humanity now. A humanity that can sense life more deeply, that is more connected to all other life on the planet. A humanity that goes to the moon and brings back hope-filled messages about the goodness of life, messages that speak volumes about humanitarianism and the rich resources that lie therein; brotherhood and sisterhood, altruism and kindness and all the little things that bring the faith and hope to nurture our dreams.

This is the new mold that I believe guides the baby-boomers. It is a calling that we cannot refuse and must attend to. It is our destiny to bring peace to the world. The when and how we manifest this peace is determined by how and when we meet the challenges set before us by those that use the bomb to protect life. Setting off an aton-bomb wreaks such carnage upon life in such a forever fashion as radioactive nuclear fallout that it does nothing to protect anything; not life, not security, not even honor.

In our quest we must resist the poison apple credit system and not get locked into a hopeless survival game with those that would detonate the bomb to protect life. We must work actively toward establishing peace in our lives and in the lives of those in our communities and those around the world. Peace for all life: whales, women, children and men, all cultures, all plants, all creatures must be guaranteed that they will not go extinct. We must become acutely aware of life crying out to be left alone to grow and prosper and act accordingly.

Where there is peace there is true prosperity. Where there is prosperity there is life. May life prosper in Peace on Earth.
