Australia March 29, 2002 | Australian world citizens tear down the walls to the Woomera Detention Center and freed over a dozen inmates. These are immigrants that came to Australia seeking political asylum from several Asian countries. They have been detained for up to 12 years in the middle of the continent in dire conditions. This is not just, nor is it humane. The people of Australia are tearing down the wallls and making justice with their bare hands. They are the patriots of a new world, one that honors people before profits, liberty in the face of oppression. These scenes are reminescent of the storming of the Bastille prison in Paris that began the French Revolution in 1793.

Solidarity with the Israeli peace movement

The Jews in Tel Aviv, capital of Israel, are storming the Defense Ministry building demanding PEACE. Several demonstrations have occurred in Israel ranging in size from 20,000 to 50,000 - the pictures tell the story.
