Do we have Impeachment?
by Michael Tivana June 26, 2005

The people wise up, call for IMPEACHMENT

The parade began in the heart of downtown Seattle and would last for nearly three hours. The thousands of parade goers lined the streets and were as much of an amusement as the parade itself. Multi colored hair, tattooed bodies, outrageous clothes were the norm; I felt at home. I was marching for Mark Wilson for US Senate along with a handful of other sign and banner carrying supporters. It was soon after we began parading I noticed I had become a reason to applaud, a creator of a surge of energy overcame the crowds as I passed by.

I looked around, was it my hat? My shirt, my old funky shoes? My movie star good looks? No, it was my sign! "Impeach Bush FOR Peace". The people were cheering for impeachment and here I was wondering if I was going over the top carrying a sign calling for the impeachment of our president in a large mainstream parade. I guessed right and this act of courage paid off.

Do we have impeachment? I would yell and the applause and the hollers welled up. Many people put their fist in the air in utter defiance of what Bush is doing to our country and others rose to their feet and screamed IMPEACH THEM ALL!

Impeach Bush, Cheney, the Supreme Court, Impeach them all and let's start over!

So I played it up and had a blast. Do I hear any support for impeachment? The people went wild and on and on, block after block, for miles we marched for impeachment and the call went out and the people responded, and I was encouraged, pushing the will of the people to have a new government.

The parade started mild with mixed expectations. It rapidly escalated into one of those glory days, fun along the journey, let the good times roll episodes in one's life. By the end of the parade I had people on opposite sides of the street in a dual to see who could yell IMPEACHMENT the loudest.

The real winners of the day were the people wanting their liberty.

To my fellow activists, march on, protest on, speak out, continue to wise up, the people are with you.

Peace is profitable,
Tivana
