Paying For Our Freedom

Why must we pay for things that once were free? $20 to visit a National Park, $5 for a state park, how much for a city park?

Dear friends,
Sometimes I just can't hold it in. I know that there is so much going on in our world but sometimes when something hits close to home I have to speak out so bear with me and thanks for reading on.

The continuing march of the false market economy and globalization will claim another victory in January. This is when Washington joins other western states California, Oregon and Idaho in charging $5 for every car that enters a state park.

Privatizing our lives, making citizens pay for public services while continuing to raise taxes is a piece of the agenda of the globalists. WHere does the money go? To private contractors that enjoy the privalige of having a government contract through a connection with a government official - like Cheney, the ex Pres of Haliburton seeing to it that the Pentagon awards fact juicy contracts to Haliburton - the same can be said about Bush Sr. and the Carlyle group.

This is what is happening around the world - people are being asked to pay more why getting fewer services. This trend continues in countries until the people take to the streets, take back their lives and the politicians are afraid for their lives. This is where Argentina is at now. Politicians are afraid to come out of their homes. How far will Americans let this go before we right our course? Will be like Argentina? Food riots were a large part of the 3 day revolt last December and now the people are planting victory gardens in their parks so they can eat. That is a statement on the efficacy of globalization. It does not work! The people must act now to stop the globalization of our lives or forever face a moneyed future where once we were free.

Currently the great excuse is that our tax money is going to the War on Terrorism. The state of Washington just lost a $billion in Medicaid that has to be made up somehow. That's a billion to fund the war for a day and that's a billion less for firemen, teachers, transportation and PARKS!

The War on Terrorism is a fantasy! It is in reality a mechanism for the moneyed globalists to extract our wealth, our freedom, and our liberty. This fantasy war is a sideshow to what is really going on - the invasion of our economic way of life. We have lived in a social democracy where capitalism is bridled and tamed by laws and regulations, with a government that sponsors programs that fulfill the needs of all the people, like our parks for recreation and realxation. Now with user fees coming on line for our parks we see the poor locked out of something that was once a privilege in our society - the right to sit in a park. While the wealthy are thankful for the fees, saying that the parks won't be as crowded. Hurray! Less wealth means better tee times at the club too ---- I talk with people that actually tell me these things, they think this way! and it is wrong.

If nothing is done, if people choose to do nothing or if people do not take control of their governments, then the future will bring:

  • parks that have: user fees, corporate names, licensed vendors which are no more than legal panhandlers (you think you are annoyed by tele-marketers), commercialized areas that were once commercial free, the sale of natural resources from public lands, the sale of public land including our parks

  • our roads will have: countless tollbooths, more traffic, more need for public transportation, more potholes, more taxes to maintain

  • our schools will have: fewer teachers, less qualified teachers, poorer education, more security forces, more commercialism in our schools to pay for them, more teachers asking the parents to contribute to lab fees and other items of cost. Soon we will have tuition for all high schools and the kids will have to buy their books - just like college. The problem is that our taxes will not be reduced instead they rise even faster.

  • our communities will have: less pride, more volunteers for upkeep (less paid jobs), more bonds to sustain them, more concentrated government, fewer laws to protect our liberty, freedom, and ENVIRONMENT!

  • our ports will: cater to the needs of the yachting wealthy, be a huge tax drain because once you privatize an essential need of the community and are allowed through de-regulation to ask any price you want for the service (Enron) the only thing stopping the private corporation from asking for more money from the government is their own good conscience (Ken Lay) --- this is proven out by studying the privatized prisons that are asking more and more money from governments (taxpayers) for their service while giving less value to their service. Private prisons are even charging the inmates rent on their stay in their ill kept 43 degree barren rooms. Our private prisons are not for rehabilitation, they are not correction facilities they are torture chambers.

Our lives will be commercialized, and capsized while the masses are hypnotized by rhetoric promising freedom and prosperity by the same people that are taking freedom and prosperity away.

To stay on the sidelines and watch this all happen is to be complicit of the crime of taking away our lives. I put out the predictions in July 2000 - warning that if BUSH gets elected we would see scandals, poverty, unemployment, deficit spending, bankruptcies, and WAR!

Bush got elected --- and all of these words are in our daily vernacular.

After 911, I called BUSH a raving madman and predicted WWIII.

Bush is seen as a raving loon in most of the world - but not by most Americans, not yet.

Now I say that if the people do not rise up and simply claim that we have NO CONFIDENCE in any of Bush's fantasies, including globalization, then we will reap a future of permanent war and a constant raping and pillaging of our lives and our dreams.

Remember Watergate -- Nixon was not impeached, he resigned because there was no confidence in him being president anymore. This is where we are at today; we are at the crossroad with a decision to make - either follow and trust Bush or trust your gut and get rid of him and his well-oiled friends.

Good luck, be well and you won't be seeing me in any more state parks after January.

thank you for listening and I thank you more for taking action.
