This weeks NUMBER 1 reason to have a War - The president can write an Executive order that allows for a military tribunal to try foreign suspected terrorists. The #1 reason to have a war three weeks ago was the expanded defintion of terrorism to include protesters. I guess we won't see those green cards at the protests any more.
WAR Profiteering and tax restructuring. The smoke has barely lifted from the World Trade Center and the mirrored economic stimulus tax changes are half way through congress. Hang on to your wallets. Read more....
Freedom as a cause for war.
Bush has told us that the US was attacked because the terrorists envied our abundant freedom. This explains why he is taking away our freedom - to make us safe. The terrorists will no longer envy our freedom if we do not have any and thus they will no longer want to attack us. Duh.... I can't believe it took me two months to figure it out. Bush's greatness lies in his simplicity.The man is a genius!
Ashcroft Demands No Gun Check For Detainees
So if Ashcroft wants to run background checks on detainees and 20 day checks on immigrants and he is not checking for gun ownership what is he checking for? Box-cutters and plastic knives?
Bush wants to build-up our ballistic missiles because we now have a different enemy. OK let me get this straight. Our enemies attacked us with Plastic knives and postage stamps and we are retaliating with Daisy bombs and ballistic missiles. I see, it is best to be prepared, you never know when you are going to be attacked with sticky notes and white out!
Portland, San Fransisco, Chicago, Detroit and Eugene Police fight Ashcroft rounding up 5,000 suspects.
The Portland and Eugene police are the first to stand up to the FBI and resist Ashcrofts request to detain people. "Attorney General John Ashcroft and the FBI have requested the assistance of local police departments around the country in the task of rounding up alleged "terrorist" suspects".
