The theft of the large artifacts in the basement required a crane to remove and it all happened overnight under the watch of the US Army. Worse was the theft of all the paperwork describing them. The tens of thousands of missing artifacts taken from the Baghdad Museum was reduced to a few hundred and tivialized in America's media.
