There are signs everywhere the sage tells me. Have you read the Tower card in the Tarot deck? Twin towers came tumbling down -- the staus quo will come tumbling after.
Solar and lunar eclipses, the meetups, connections, little and big miracles all give me faith but also give me an ominous feeling. Something big is happening, do you want to play? I am not sure where we are going but we may as well have fun along the way.
The Mayan Calendar
According to the Mayan calendar we are in the middle of a 26 year transition period between epochs. The Harmonic Convergence occurred on August 17,1987 and marked the end of the last epoch. Millions of people all over the world blessed this day by joining together in prayer and meditation for world peace. The next epcoh begins in 2012. The Mayans studied the stars and knew of this special day of harmony (with an extraordinary number of planetary trines) to mark the beginning of the transition period between epochs. At that time the lightbearers on the planet called for this day to be a time of sacredness, faith building, and hope to set the tone for the coming transition period. The Mayan calendar proclaims that the transition period from August 17, 1987 to August 17, 2013 - will be a time when every person in the world will experience complete political, economic and social change in their lives. Hold on to your seats.
Immediately following the Harmonic Convergence, came Black Tuesday and the stock market crash of October 1987 - then the end of the Cold War and the fall of the Berlin Wall. There have been vast changes in the Soviet Union and Russia, China and Hong Kong, and the world also saw the end of Apartheid and many other positive signs of the coming of a New Age when mankind seeks commonality and forgives our differences.
War is the grim reaper and he is making an appearance in more parts of the world every day. War is a reshuffling of the deck, a repositioning of power, a restructuring of life and how we live our lives. The mantra from 9-11 is that our lives have changed for good. The effects of 9-11 are beginning to show in our society in many ways, political, social, and physical. The people are more anxious about their world as they deal with thoughts of war, less employment, empty storefronts, etc.; and society as a whole is more interested in the spiritual side of life, higher church attendence, more involvement in meta-physics. After 9-11 shattered our sense of reality, do we have a more open mind, are more capable of exploring new ideas?
One idea that has been on the edge of our reality for decades is the Mayan Calendar. This calendar brings humanity a new natural way to live time through an ancient calendar. The Mayan calendar has 13 months each with 28 days and is in harmonay with the cycles of the moon. Living with this calendar brings harmony to a person's life - living in the Jullian/ Gregorian calendar brings disharmony and and a feeling of being our of balance with nature.
The Gregorian calendar that we now use to mark the time of year is unnatural. The natural way to track time is according to the moon. This joins the year into 13 cycles of 28 days each. By changing this natural cycle we are susceptible to having our naural time clocks altered, causing humans to miss out on experiencing their psychic lives. By switching back to the Mayan natural calendar people begin to see patterns of life occurring which illumines their world and makes new things possible. The time to change is about changing time. From now on watch for more people to switch over to the Mayan calendar to mark their months and years.
It appears that there is some residue emotions that we must be rid of before we can march freely into the promised land of a New World. Greed, over confidence (hubris), self-centered arrogance, narrow mindedness are a few of the emotions in this time that I describe as the swan song of the male ego.
Now we have the 911 attack and the male ego is out in full force. Kill the evil-doers is the chant and the march to war is upon us. No doubt there is much happening in all parts of the world in this transition period, but in the end what is important is how we as individuals and as a collective conscience react or proact to these changes. As individuals, as nations, as humanity we will set the tone for what kind of a world we will begin the next epoch with. What humanity does now will flavor the world in which we live for a very long time. My life will be spent proacting the ways of peace and stability that will sustain life on this planet for centuries to come. What will you spend your life doing?
Namaste,
