I find it interesting how both sides are on the same side of the fence as far as the bascis: protect teh constitution, live free, seek liberty, and defnde American values. Citing the names of forty academics who've been inadequately patriotic, the study concluded that, "college and university faculty have been the weak link in America's response to the attack." The American Council of Trustees and Alumni is leading the charge to denounce liberal educators. Targeting liberal professors for being unpatriotic is not new but since 9/11 the rhetoric of the charges of being unpatriotic are now electrified because of heightened sensitivity to national security.
