Globalization is a broad subject indeed. Included in this section are a few of the key points to help you connect the dots.

Globalization is a two-sided coin- it is both the world’s savior and its demon. The basic concept of Globalization is a good one. It is the world joining together as a community dedicated to improving the lives of all. It is responsible for improvements in the lives of people especially in the areas of travel, trade, communications, universal technology and cultural exchange. The global exchange of culture and information demonstrates that a world can live in diversity and prosper. The concept of the global village has taken root in our modern world and has given humanity: Nobel Laureate Awards, the Olympics, the United Nations, the space station, Earth Day, and the Internet. Globalization has also aided the world in watershed events such as: the fall of the Iron Curtain, the end of apartheid, the rise of the World Social Forum, and global environmental cooperation in the Kyoto Accord. When viewed from the perspective of the global village, these things are natural manifestations of Globalization.

But there is a bad side to Globalization that is all about money and control. The Globalization of the Market Economy is all about economics. Let's decode Globalization's formula for spreading and enforcing its domination over the world. Below is a list of the keys in the formula to get started. The topical buzzwords are in bold.

Note: this formula is at work the world over and includes the United States. By understanding these terms a person can see Globalization at work in their community. You can get a deeper understanding on how Globalization is changing our world in the book-  "Beyond Iraq, Surviving Globalization", by Michael Tivana.

The 7 Key Components of Globalization

  • De-stabilization of an existing system through ruined economies, civil wars, assassinations, predatory loans, and tax restructuring. This causes chaos in the society.
  • Privatization is introduced as the best solution to the chaos of a de-stabilized culture, state, or economy and results in the commercialization of the lives of the citizens.
  • Market-based pricing takes advantage of privatized markets by charging more than what the market will bear monopolistic prices.
  • Liberalized capital is a way for corporations to relocate their profits outside of the privatized country.
  • Free Trade is IMF determined trade favoring the profit motives of international corporations, banks, and investors.
  • Flexible work force is when workers are forced to take fewer benefits and lower wages to keep their jobs.
  • Fascism is the most desirable way to keep an unethical system in place. To gain permission from the people for Fascism to take hold the perpetrators will coerce the people through: fear - terrorists; promise - military victory or a falsely improving economy; confusion - through mis and dis-information from the media.

Globalization - this broad topic is covered in depth in many books on the subject. All you need to remember is that Globalization, the Big Captitalist G-spot has been exposed for the nefarious agenda that it possesses by much of the world. Here in the US citizens are beginnning to get their heads out of the sand on this world changing issue.

Globalization goes by several names: neo-liberalism, Market Economy, Free Trade, NAFTA, privatization, and so forth. The end result is debilitating poverty and death for millions. The rest of the world associates Globalization with the United States. When farmers commit suicide in India because they can no longer use their traditional seeds, when children die from famine in Ethiopia, when Mexican compesinos lose their land and protest they blame the United States. They know the IMF and the World Bank are controlled by the US, they know that it is largely priveleged US business behind all the exploitation of the resources found on their native land. This fear, this anger, this despair is now turning on the United States. The US has become a target of the world's desparation while Americans are led to believe that their generosity makes them the world's saviors. Are we prepared to take the heat from the colonies or will Americans come to their senses and demand an end to the Market Economy?

Education and understanding are the first steps. Realizing what is happening in the world is the next step. Doing something about it is the next step after that.

In this section you can get a glimpse of Globalization and hopefully you will want to know more. In the Book "Beyond Iraq, Surviving Globalization", Michael Tivana provides research and links for deeper knowledge into this critical influence on our lives. The book broadens the view of Globalization so the reader can see it encroaching upon their local community and study the effects upon the rest of the world. To read more click here.

Here is a brief on the positive side of Globlaization. We are living in a time of magnificent opportunity. To live in a global community all sharing in the the harmony of a sustainable world.

    So what's looking up?

Well countries around the world are utilizing cool new technologies. Both industrialized and undeveloped countries are using sustainable energy, bio-clean-up sources, enzyme fertilizers, hemp processing machines etc. It all means that we and the rest of the world can live a material life-style without ruining our health or the health of the planet.

The key is opening up the markets to allow these life saving technologies to be used. The planet is dieing because of the control over the markets. Thus Globalization and Free Trade (market control) is the true battle for our survival. Free trade monopolizes markets and assures control over what technologies will be used. A good example of a controlled market and a controlled technology is HEMP. HEMP is changing the world and loosening the grip of the powers that be upon the world. The US is falling behind the world in this and other advanced life sustaining technology.

But the markets are closed by long term contracts and the companies that control the governments, control who gets the contracts and the good technology can't get a market. This is why I cannot support a person that sponsors Free Trade. Free trade is controlled trade -- free from the regulations that protect the people from unethical business practices is its only claim to freedom.
